Livestock systems and agricultural activity in general are important productive sectors for the supply of raw materials for the agribusiness. Related to animals, this sector depends a lot on the thermal comfort inside the installations, where the ventilation systems must be designed to provide an environment with homogeneously distributed temperature, which allows the animals to reach maximum productivity. In the same way, agricultural productivity requires adequate control of environments, such as greenhouses and understanding the microclimate can help producers to solve environmental problems. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) presents itself in this context as a modern numerical methodology that can be used in the projects and analyzes of these sectors.
There are several applications of 3D computer simulations for performance gains.
Among the applications, we can highlight:
Animal ambience analysis, for better productivity.
Thermal distribution analysis, for better energy efficiency.
Analysis of behavior of temperature, humidity and air flows, to mitigate losses.
Simulación para mejorar la eficiencia del confort térmico de los criaderos.
